Made from a halogen free polymer emulsion, Novia AirSeal 310 FR is designed to form a fire and smoke seal in joints in Air and Vapour Control Membranes, In and around internal partitions and Linear gap seals at the head or foot of a wall. Easy to apply with a flexible and smooth finish for movement capability. Supplied in cartridges Readily over-paintable Will not harden or crack with age BS EN 1366-4 tested Conforms to ETAG 026 Parts 2 & 3 Tested to BS EN 1634-1 2014 + A1 2018 – FD30 & FD60. Coverage: 1 tube = 1m using approx 20mm x 15mm bead. Similar to the use of sealant tapes, AirSeal sealant is designed to ensure an airtight seal when jointing and sealing Air and Vapour Control Layers to be used in conjunction with or in place of sealant tapes. How do I Use Novia AirSeal 310 FR Sealant? For a superior joint, it is essential to have dry and clean surfaces, free from dirt, oil, and loose materials. Use a wire brush if necessary. Non-porous surfaces must be degreased with an appropriate agent, while highly porous surfaces should be sealed using a suitable primer.For a neater appearance, apply masking tape to both sides of the joint, then firmly apply the sealant into the joint, smoothing it with a wetted spatula.
